From Greenwich to Madison, Danbury to Cheshire, residents of Connecticut know Standard Oil as their reliable heating oil delivery company, but we are also your friends and neighbors. We think it's important to support causes and organizations that help residents of the towns we serve, which is why we make a special effort to give back. "The Pink Truck" is a perfect example of this.

Giving back to our community has always been the philanthropic thread of our business. In our early days, Irving Friedman would race his horses to raise money for milk for neighborhood children. That same compassion carries on to this day as Standard Oil and President Roy Friedman continue to give back to the community and make a difference.

For 10 years the Standard Petroleum division was a sponsor of the local Muscular Dystrophy Association, raising more than $300,000 and sending 134 well-deserving children to summer camps.

Our award-winning campaign The Pink Truck is now a multi-year-long initiative to create awareness and raise funds in the support of fighting breast cancer. As a result of the campaign, more than $30,000 was raised and donated to the Susan G. Komen Connecticut charity. Based on the success of this campaign we have launched a second charity truck – our purple Alzheimer's delivery truck is spreading the message of the fight against Alzheimer's and raising funds for research along the way.

Standard Oil is a proud sponsor of programs to help school-age children, including the Bullying Stops Here, the Back-Pack Give-Back program and Habitat For Humanity

Standard Security Systems supports the Center for Family Justice by ensuring the security of its safe houses by providing free security alarms.

Additionally, Roy Friedman and his wife Aline have established The Roy & Aline Home Care Service, which supplies a Registered Nurse to senior citizens in need of home care when they are released from any local hospital and don't have assistance at home.
